When you submit the form at shireyegroup.com/sms-opt-in, we collect your first name, last name, and mobile phone number. You may also provide an email address. If you check the optional email-updates consent box, we store that choice separately, along with a timestamp and the consent wording you saw, so we can demonstrate what you agreed to. We also collect technical information automatically — including IP address and basic browser or device data — for security, abuse prevention, and compliance.

SMS. Your phone number and SMS consent are used to send the operational text messages described when you opt in — deployment windows, standbys, stand-downs, and periodic roster check-ins. The legal basis is the consent you give on the form.

Email. If you leave the email field blank or do not check the email-updates box, we do not treat your address as permission for email marketing. If you do opt in, we may send email about training opportunities, roster and deployment news, and notices about SEG systems (for example contractor tools and login). Message frequency varies. You may also receive occasional transactional email related to your relationship with SEG (for example replies to you, or service messages) even when you have not opted in to broader email updates — only where permitted without additional consent.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data collected through this site will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. They are used to deliver the SMS program you signed up for, as described in our SMS Communications Policy.

Marketing-style or newsletter-type email from SEG includes an unsubscribe link when required. You can also contact us using the email at the bottom of this page to ask questions or to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions. Opting out of email does not automatically remove you from SMS — reply STOP to a text message to end SMS, or use this form again as described in the SMS policy.

We share data only as needed to run our services — including with Twilio (SMS delivery) and SendGrid (email delivery when we send mail from our systems). We do not sell or rent your personal data.

Your data is stored and processed in the United States. By submitting the opt-in form, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence.

We store opt-in records, including consent timestamps, using industry-standard practices. Records are retained for compliance and audit purposes in line with applicable law and operational needs.

You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any SEG text message. For email you agreed to receive, use the unsubscribe link in those messages where provided, or write to us. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, contact us at gshirey@gmail.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
